I'm pretty sure this family is excited about the photographs on their walls as I am. I had the pleasure to photograph their two children during my Christmas card special and when #3 arrived in the new year, I headed to their place for his newborn session. I chased the older kids around and photographed them in their element - their own home, their own rooms and playing with their toys. Then they had some downtime with dad and mom and I focused on capturing some stunning shots of baby R. It all boiled down to an amazing session and the result was beautiful pieces of art on their walls.
Renee and Jimmy, Thank you for inviting me into your home to freeze those moments for you. Your appreciation of my work and your relaxed nature truly made for some stunning family images. I can't wait until next year to do it all over again! Please enjoy a few of my favourites.
Welcome to the Green Apple Photography Blog. By viewing my stories and images, you will get a glimpse into my shooting style and personal experiences. My mission is to get you excited about your family portraits, about the moments I capture of your gorgeous children and the beauty of your pregnant body. I want you to share them with your friends and family and to see quality and artistry in every image.
For the many people who share their comments, stories, and lives with me, thank you!

Winter Wonderland. Elmira Children's Photographer
I've had this vision for a winter session (when we aren't part of the polar vortex) and I convinced my 6 year old to join me in the yard (with piles of snow) so I could photograph her. But it was cold and not quite the right time of day but I still managed to get a couple of amazing shots of her. I'd like to do more of this so I'm looking for a few young people ages 6-18 for some more winter wonderland sessions. The sessions will be complimentary and take place this week while it is warm and wonderfully snowy. So if you don't have any March Break plans, please contact me asap.

Newborn twins photography. Elmira Children's Photographer
I held a contest and gave away 3 portrait packages. This family had just had twins and it was perfect timing for their session. We booked their session 2 days after I called to let them know they won! Talk about timing.
The boys were little angels when I arrived at their home. They slept beautifully and I had such a great time.
Dana and Melo, thank you for introducing me to your family. Jackson was such a great big brother and the twins were awesome! I hope you have found a spare moment to hang your framed print on the wall. They will cherish it for years! Please enjoy a few of my favourite images.

Elmira Family Photographer - Gibson Park
I met this family at Elmira's Gibson park to photograph them amongst the leaves and trees. The kids ran, played and had fun, while mom and dad laughed and enjoyed this amazing time with their kids.
Matt and Norma, your family is gorgeous, fun and pretty much amazing. I had such a blast photographing them. Their true personalities came through and I hope you can enjoy a few of my favourites.

Elmira Children's Photographer. Literacy for all
Each year I set aside several special events in order to give back to my community. This year I offered my Christmas Card Special where all proceeds went to Kate's Kause and an Integration Action for Inclusion (IAI) workshop they were hosting. The workshop was designed for parents, caregivers and teachers to support families with children with significant disabilities and specifically their literacy development. In the fall Dr. Caroline Ramsey Musselwhite, CCC-SLP and Erin Sheldon, M.Ed. offered a workshop on Emergent Balanced Literacy and this week they offered part II. I was fortunate enough to have some time to photograph these ladies in action during their instruction on using an ipad and other literacy tools to encourage, develop and explore writing and literacy for students with significant disabilities.
Here are a few shots of these ladies in action.

Elmira Children's Photographer. South Park Woods Session
We met for this session in Elmira's South Park Woods. It was a beautiful setting for this family and the light that day was amazing. We had been holding out for the perfect day and the late October didn't provide many opportunities. I've held off blogging this session since I knew some of the images were going to be framed in a beautiful recycled eco-frames I offer and given as Christmas gifts. They looked amazing when they arrived. I had them wrapped and ready to give for my client!
Anyway, the session itself was a blast since these kids were little bundles of energy. We ran, jumped, climbed trees and captured some amazing moments for this family.
Leigh and Grant, Thank you for giving me the opportunity to photograph your growing family. And congrats on number 4 set to arrive later in 2014!

Elmira Children's Photographer
Today is my birthday. My 33rd birthday to be exact. Do I feel older? Sort of. Do I look older? If you look closely (and please don't). Does it matter? Not really. You see, my life is full of wonderful people that make it amazing in a way I can't really describe. I love my job/business/career/whatever you want to call it. And life is actually pretty sweet.
In honour of my 33rd, I will be gifting my basic package ($395 value) to 3 very worthy families So who will these people be? That's up to you. Send me the story of a family that needs a little lift, can't afford professional photos or who would love a family photograph hung on the wall.
Stories must be submitted by email to info@greenapplephotography.ca by Friday January 24th. The winners will be chosen by my team at Green Apple Photography and announced on or before February 1st, 2014. Feel free to contact me about what is included in the package.
You must include the family's name, location, their story and why a portrait session would make a difference to them.
Please also include your name and contact information.
Stories will only be published with the winning family's permission.
I hope to give some wonderful photographs to some amazing people this year!
