Kitchener Children's Photographer: 9 months and growing big!

It was only a mere 9 months ago that I met this cute little lady (check out her newborn session here).  And now she is growing, moving, making noises and generally thrilling her parents with all this change.  She was a challenge this time since, let's face it, she didn't want to sit still for me.  But we still managed to dress her up in the tutu and little top I had made specifically for her.  And we gave her a bath and she loved the bubbles!

Kristy and Derek, your little angel is growing up so quickly.  Good luck with all the changes ahead.  It has been a pleasure to photograph your wonderful little family.  Please enjoy a few of my faves!

Elmira Children's Photographer: Valentine's Special

February 14th is approaching quickly - and if you are like me...it doesn't mean so much.  Romance and love should be celebrated everyday.  But it is a good excuse to get some chocolate, or an evening alone with your love, or even some flowers.

For a children's photographer it means even less.  I don't have an exceptionally fabulous event planned like my friend, Sandra.  You can check it out here: http://www.fleuriphotography.com/2013/01/blog-post.html. You WILL look and feel amazing when you get your fleuri portraits.  But for a school-aged child, Valentine's Day does mean a chance to exchange little paper valentines with your classmates.  So I'm offering a special - just in time for Valentine's day.

Your mini session must take place before January 31st.  Send me a message to set up your child's session!

Kitchener Newborn Photographer: Little Miss O

I was exceptionally excited to meet Nicole's newest addition at the end of December.  After arriving several weeks early, little O caught us a bit off-guard and we planned to move up her newborn session.  Ok - so I wasn't so much caught off-guard.  It was all her mother dealing with the unexpected broken water and the surprise that went along with it.  Really, I had nothing to do with that.

But "O" was the picture of perfection as we moved her, posed her, put her in baskets, snuggled her up with her mom's baby doll and placed her on top of adorable blankets and hats by snickelfritz knits.  She co-operated while her mom and I giggled and remarked at how adorable she was.

Nicole, it was a pleasure to see you again and meet your little lady.  I'm so happy with the results.  Can't wait to see her as she grows up!  Congratulations on your adorable little one.

West Montrose Photographer: Winter Wonderland

When Natasha, Brad, and I first met - it was like love at first sight!  Their wedding sounded incredible, fun and exactly my style.  I do a select number of weddings each year, and theirs is at the top of my list.  When I suggested "winter wonderland" photos for their engagement session, they jumped at it.  In fact, I think it was actually their idea!

So when the fluffy white stuff started to fall on Sunday, we went for it.  We frolicked, we threw snowballs, but mostly, we had fun!  Lots and lots of fun.

Natasha and Brad, It was a pleasure to photograph the two of you.  I had a great time and I can't wait to continue the fun this summer!  Please enjoy a few of my faves!

Elmira Children's Photographer: Life as a mom

I rolled over as I was tapped on the shoulder early this morning.  My 3 year old little guy had woken me up and I felt like I was being ripped from my warm, cozy bed.  I kept my eyes closed and he crawled in beside me.  I may have dozed off again, but I honestly don't remember.  The next thing I knew he was chanting, "Look! Look! Look!"  I pried my eyes open and quickly retreated to my duvet cave.  I felt like a vampire seeing the light of day for the first time.  "It's so beautiful", he said.  I nodded and curled up again.  Then I processed what he said to me, and looked out the windows again.  I saw a beautiful blue and pink sunrise.  The clouds quietly melting together.  Then I looked at my son.  Yes, it is beautiful.
